Vision In Action!

FB_IMG_1494821557227

What has God placed on your heart for today? Has He given you a vision for something He has called you to do? Are you closer now to walking in your calling- to seeing that vision come to life- than you were a year ago?

If the answer is “yes”, keep trusting! Keep walking! Keep seeking God’s guidance! He will use each experience, each appointment, as a stepping stone in the pathway to your calling. And HE will fulfill the vision and complete the good work He has begun in you!

If the answer is “no”, then why not? Take Action! Do it TODAY! Don’t allow the enemy to detain you, distract you, discourage you, or derail you any longer!

Seek God’s direction. Listen for His guidance. Be obedient. And take that step of faith!

God will take care of the rest!

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6

Other Scripture References:

Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but happy is he who keeps the law – Proverbs 29:18  Vision is the bridge between the present and the future. Without it we perish or go “unrestrained.”  Vision gives us a path and a purpose.

“The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps” – Proverbs 16:9

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the Lord is the one who holds his hand. – Psalm 37:23-24

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus – Philippians 3:14

When your vision is honestly birthed by God Himself, He will be delighted to direct your steps as you act upon what He has placed in your heart, according to His will!

May God bless you abundantly and guide you to becoming all He created you to be!

John 16:13: “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

The Holy Spirit also ADOPTS (Romans 8:15), TEACHES (John 14:26, 16:3), REFRESHES (Acts 3:19), EMPOWERS (Acts 1:8), EMBOLDENS (Acts 4:31-33), INTERCEDES (Romans 8:26-27), SEALS (Ephesians 1:13-14), FREES (2 Corinthians 3:17), and RESURRECTS (Romans 8:11).

The Impulse To Soar

“One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.”
– Helen Keller

The LORD said to Jeremiah in verse 5 of chapter 1:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Our God and Creator has appointed each of us for a purpose.  He knew you before you were even born and has bestowed to you certain unique traits and gifts that you might carry out such purpose.  God created the eagle’s majestic wings that he may ascend into the heavens and the great whale’s might that he should navigate the deep.

God’s Spirit bears witness with our own, whispering to us that we are His children, each created in His image and gifted for what He has fashioned us to do.

What has the Spirit inspired within you?

Your Divine Appointment

snowflake4To those who know and love God, remember today that your life’s purpose is appointed by Him.  It fits within His divine purpose for all mankind and for His creation as a whole.  Your individual purpose has many facets.  Within it’s scope, and directed by God Himself, your life’s journey consists of a series of appointments.  Each one is different and unique in it’s own way.

Wherever you are today, whatever your current appointment, no matter how joyous or how challenging, remember that God is with you every step of the way and that He is using your current experience and circumstances to shape your life.  He is also using them to shape the lives of others and to orchestrate His divine plan.

So trust Him, no matter what this day brings, and know that you are appointed by GOD Almighty!  You are a part of GOD’s Grand Plan!

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)

Proverbs 3:5,6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart,And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall directyour paths.” (NKJV)

I Am a Child of God

An encouraging Affirmation for those living with Chronic Illness & Pain

by Angela Hall Dobbins © 2010

child_of_GodIf you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then the Bible says you are a child of God!  And, as a child of the Most High God and Creator of the Universe, you have an inheritance!  You are a joint heir with Christ and you will join Him one day in Your Father’s Kingdom.  Isn’t that awesome!  Yet, not only are you a joint heir with Christ, chosen to receive a heavenly inheritance, you have an earthly inheritance, as well.

Jesus said, “…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10b

No matter what circumstances surround you today, God has promised that He will never  leave or forsake you.  As His child, He looks at you through the endearing eyes of a loving Father, always there with arms wide open to comfort you in every situation.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3,4, we read, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Chronic illness may have changed the way you live your life on a day-to-day basis.  Granted, it has surely required you to learn to pace yourself, set limits, even discontinue some activities, and to rearrange your life and daily routine.  But it can never prevent you from being the person God created you to be!  That’s because God, as your ever loving Heavenly Father, in His wisdom, has a plan for your life.  And He is working that plan to your advantage and for the good for all eternity!

Romans 8:28 tells us, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

God has given you a promise and, no matter what circumstances you face in this life, He will never go back on that promise.  Your life is important and special.  And He has an important purpose for you!  You are His Child, unique and adored, and He wants to shine His light through you today, right where you’re planted!

Some of God’s richest blessings are bestowed through adversity.  When we give, especially out of our own need, God has a way of blessing us immeasurably.  So, no matter what limiting circumstances surround you, remember that God is still on His throne and that He is in control!  You are His Child, whom He loves.  He has gifted you with certain talents and abilities with which to share His love with others.  And He has placed before you, even in the midst of chronic illness, opportunities to fulfill the very purpose for which you were created!

Romans 8:14-17 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

Let’s pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your loving provisions in our lives.  We thank You for Your love and care and for understanding our feelings and our needs.  Lord, help us to remember that You are in control, no matter what our circumstances and that chronic illness can never define “who we are” in You nor prevent us from being all You created us to be.  Help me to realize and to remember that, while I may not be able to do all the things I would like to, nor even to go at the pace I would like to, still You have a purpose and a plan for my life.  And that plan applies every day, no matter how I may be feeling, physically.  Help me not to waste a moment of this precious life You have given me, but rather to use it for Your glory and to spread Your love.  Help me to seek You daily and to take advantage of opportunities to use the talents and abilities You have given me to share Your love with others and to tell them about the awesome grace You have extended to us through Your son, Jesus Christ.  Lord, we thank You that You hear and answer our prayers. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen and Amen.

If you prayed that prayer, I would love to hear from you.  Please feel free to write to me so that I may continue to pray in agreement with you and to offer you encouragement.  If you have questions or other prayer requests, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’m here to listen and I care. 🙂

May God bless you abundantly today and guide you to becoming all He created you to be!

Love in Christ,

Angela
