Broken Crayons Still Color!
Please remember this if you’re struggling with your health, finances, family issues, a painful loss, and you feel broken, discouraged or hopeless this Christmas. And He will- gently, with love, and faithfully each day, if you place your hope and trust in Him.
Your life still has meaning and purpose. Your mind and body still belong to God- you are His child, His beloved. And He cares for you deeply. No matter what you’re going through right now, you still have much to experience, to learn, to find joy in, and to share, as you color the world with the beautiful things God has placed inside you.
Don’t lose hope, my Friend. Hold on to it like a treasured keepsake. Draw near to Jesus and He will draw near to you and lift you up. The world needs your spirit and your vibrance. So don’t give up! Broken crayons still color!
May God bless You and Lift You Up!

In so many places and in countless ways, we, as human beings, search for the answers to our own identity, purpose and meaning in this life. Yet, it is only when we discover our Creator and learn who we are in Him, by having a personal relationship with Him, that we find the Answers!
Without God, we are incomplete- like a computer without it’s Programmer. Only our Creator is able to help us unlock the code to the software He has designed for each of our lives. A relationship with Him and finding new meaning and fulfillment in life is only a prayer away.
In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I am come that you may have life, and that you may have it more abundantly.”

The phrase, “Attitude is Altitude” is one that conveys a lot of truth. Our attitude affects everything we do- from how well a family dinner goes, to how well we perform a task, to the way our bodies heal. Our attitude can even determine whether our day will be a good one or a disaster. Our Attitude effects the kind of life we lead. The better Your Attitude, the better Your Life!
You may be struggling right now- in a situation over which you feel you have no control. And that may be true, where outward circumstances are concerned. But how you handle those circumstances is what determines how they affect your life- even how happy you are. We all have a choice in how we respond to our circumstances, trials and struggles And God has given us power to make that choice everyday in whatever we encounter. God’s desire is to fill your life with joy! Jesus said,
” I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10b [emphasis mine]
But that “joy for the journey” starts with our attitude. No matter what we face in our daily lives, God is there to help and uplift us, but we must make the choice to be filled with God’s joy. The Bible has some uplifting verses concerning joy and the peace that only God can give, in any circumstance. I hope these will be an encouragement and inspiration to you in your daily walk. 🌝
Psalm 16:11, ESV You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:9, NIV Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure.
Proverbs 17:22, ESV A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
James 1:2 -4, NLT Dear brothers and sisters,[ when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
Romans 15:13, ESV May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
1 Peter 5:7, NLT Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you
Philippians 4:6-7, ESV Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 26:3, ESV You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
May God bless you abundantly today and guide you in becoming all He created you to be!
In Christ’s Love,
“Long-range goals keep you from being frustrated by mistakes and short-term failures.” – James Cash Penney
Don’t give up on your dream because of a mistake or temporary setback!
- Remember why you started on this journey.
- Visualize your goal.
- Take that next step.
The enemy will try to derail you with distractions. Don’t let him detain you any longer!
- Commit to make that change.
- Keep moving forward.
- Pursue the dream God has placed in your heart!
You can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens you! Philippians 4:13
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” -Michael Jordan
Wow! Those are encouraging words for me today. And perhaps for you, as well. Seems like, at this point in my life, I fail far more than I succeed. But the Bible says that when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10) Through our failures, God yields His strength to us. And, in these cracked, clay vessels, our
imperfections allow God’s light to shine through. The imperfections are still there. Yet they serve the greater purpose of allowing others in this darkened world to see God’s glory radiating through us- failures and all.
Like Michael, let’s keep on trying!
2 Corinthians 4:7: “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
2 Corinthians 12:9,10: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (ESV)
