Broken Crayons Still Color!

Please remember this if you’re struggling with your health, finances, family issues, a painful loss, and you feel broken, discouraged or hopeless this Christmas. You may be broken-hearted, have a broken spirit, a broken family, your body, mind- even your life- feels crushed and in pieces. Only God can pick up the shattered pieces and mend your hurt. And He will- gently, with love, and faithfully each day, if you place your hope and trust in Him.

Your life still has meaning and purpose. Your mind and body still belong to God- you are His child, His beloved. And He cares for you deeply. No matter what you’re going through right now, you still have much to experience, to learn, to find joy in, and to share, as you color the world with the beautiful things God has placed inside you.

Don’t lose hope, my Friend. Hold on to it like a treasured keepsake. Draw near to Jesus and He will draw near to you and lift you up. The world needs your spirit and your vibrance. So don’t give up! Broken crayons still color!

Though our Lord Jesus was broken for you and me, His life was restored and has touched untold millions with His love, grace and hope. Today we find refuge, healing, strength and peace in Him!

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Zephaniah 3:17 “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Listen, Seek Wisdom, & Pray!

As Americans, we all need to get REAL when it comes to processing and sharing our opinions concerning the firestorm of arguments and issues before and surrounding our presidential candidates. Though we may not like it, on January 20, 2017, one of them will represent our country and it’s people- and that includes you and me. Americans need to THINK before we shout opinions at one another and post vehemently to social media. Listen, Process, Analyze, and PRAY- asking God for wisdom. Then, and only then, should we offer opinions, and in a civil and respectful manner.

Our nation’s problems cannot and will not be solved by one man or one woman. Only ALMIGHTY GOD can save us from national implosion and destruction. Many Christian leaders are calling Americans to pray with earnest and urgency! We will be wise to heed their warnings, and especially God’s warnings- which are many, if we have eyes to see and ears to listen.  Once we have prayed and wept before God for our nation and looked at the issues through the eyes of God’s wisdom, it is then we need to Speak Out for what is true and right and Stand Firm against what divides us, fitted with the full Armor of God!

1 Corinthians 16:13: “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” (NIV)

James 3:17: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” (NIV)

James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (NIV)

Ephesians 6:11-12: “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (NIV)
