As Americans, we all need to get REAL when it comes to processing and sharing our opinions concerning the firestorm of arguments and issues before and surrounding our presidential candidates. Though we may not like it, on January 20, 2017, one of them will represent our country and it’s people- and that includes you and me. Americans need to THINK before we shout opinions at one another and post vehemently to social media. Listen, Process, Analyze, and PRAY- asking God for wisdom. Then, and only then, should we offer opinions, and in a civil and respectful manner.

Our nation’s problems cannot and will not be solved by one man or one woman. Only ALMIGHTY GOD can save us from national implosion and destruction. Many Christian leaders are calling Americans to pray with earnest and urgency! We will be wise to heed their warnings, and especially God’s warnings- which are many, if we have eyes to see and ears to listen.  Once we have prayed and wept before God for our nation and looked at the issues through the eyes of God’s wisdom, it is then we need to Speak Out for what is true and right and Stand Firm against what divides us, fitted with the full Armor of God!

1 Corinthians 16:13: “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” (NIV)

James 3:17: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” (NIV)

James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (NIV)

Ephesians 6:11-12: “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (NIV)
